Green Hummus!

Ok, ok, this is a TERRIBLE picture, I know, but it’s absolutely WONDERFUL hummus.  Sorry, I’m not one of those professional bloggers, just a nice blogger with a cheap cell phone camera — sue me.  BUT, before you do, enjoy this recipe for Green Hummus, just in time for St. Patrick’s Day!  Note: it really IS green.  My cell phone camera is color-blind!

Where’s the green come from?  Avocados!

Here’s the skinny on how to make it, pun intended:

1 1/2 Avocados

2 cans of garbanzo beans or 4 cups of your own.

2 garlic cloves

Herbs from the garden or whatever you want from your spice cabinet, I put used Thyme, Rosemary, and Chives.

The juice from a fresh lemon, or vinegar.

About 3/4 C. chicken broth, or broth from your boiled garbanzo beans, or both.

Sea salt to taste and a little pepper, maybe some hot pepper flakes if you’re feeling spicy.

Mix it all together in a food processor and yum!
