“Neurons that fire together, wire together”

Heard that one before?

It means what we think about most often becomes more and more easy for us to think!

So, what are you saying to yourself in the mirror?  Well, if you’re like most women it ain’t very pretty.  In fact, according to a couple experts on the “Today Show” it’s down-right ugly…

Click the Today Show logo below to watch Glamour Magazine’s editor-in-chief, Cindi Lieve, and psychologist, Dr. Anne Kearney-Cooke’s eye-opening interview with Meredith Vieira about body image on “Today’s Woman” (5 minutes):

Did you catch how to stop the bad talk?

1. Exercise! It releases positive endorphins, which naturally helps us to look on the brighter side of our mirrors 🙂

2. Journal! Write down that “stinkin’ thinkin’ ”  Bringing those thoughts to the light of day helps us to see just how destructive they are.

And, better yet, I suggest you write out “replacement truths” about yourself, your life, your family, etc.

When you think a lie, replace it with the truth!  Remember, “neurons that fire together, wire together.”

“Fix your thoughts on what is true and honorable and right. Think about things that are pure and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.” (Philippians 4:8 NLT)

Why?  Because the most important thing about being “skinnyandfit” is having a fit mind. 🙂
